Pronto! is a replacement text for our first book, Bravo!, which was published in 1996 and has become outdated. At that time word processing was the only area taught, but today Text and Information Management encompasses a wide number of areas. To meet this need Pronto! has been written to follow on from Tempo! which is already being used at Years 9 or 10. Throughout Pronto! there is reference to downloading files for use in tasks from our website here. This is a practical way for students to learn how to download files and use them within their own documents. If students do not have access to the Internet then we suggest the files be downloaded and stored on the school network server for use by students. We recommend that students use Pronto! to develop and consolidate specific skills first, before attempting the thematic assignments at the end of the book. |

Pronto! Homework Book for Year 10 is a new concept in Information Management. The book is a write-on publication designed for students to use at home, and reinforces the skills and understanding of Information Management work covered in Pronto! or any other Year 10 resource. Students do not need to use Pronto! in order to benefit from the book as there is no reference to Pronto! in the homework book. A computer at home is not necessary in order to complete the tasks. Using a write-on book like Pronto! Homework Book for Year 10 is the ideal way in which schools can meet parents' expectations of regular, organised homework. |
